fall fungi hunt at Hagg Lake

Welcome to Hagg Lake Trail Treasures: Fall Fungi Hunt!

Discover the hidden magic of fall at Hagg Lake with our scavenger hunt this November.

Follow the weekly clues provided by park staff, on Instagram and Facebook, to uncover unique ceramic mushrooms,
each a beautiful piece of art created by local artist Gwyneth Manley.

Perfect for families and nature lovers, this adventure will guide you along our scenic lakeside trails,
with fungi treasures awaiting discovery. The first clues will be released on October 31st,
and a total of 15 mushrooms will be hidden throughout the month.

Before you begin your adventure, please review the information below.

THE DETAILS

Who can participate?  Open to all park visitors!
Parks staff, including former Parks staff, and anyone involved in coordinating this program are not eligible.

Where are the mushrooms hidden?
Treasures are hidden in safe, accessible places—you won’t need to climb, dig, or disturb the environment. If it looks unsafe, it isn’t part of the hunt.

Please respect nature and the Park. While searching, stay on trails, be mindful of wildlife, and avoid disturbing plants or natural features.
