Welcome to Hagg Lake Trail Treasures: The Wild Ornament Hunt

This November, explore the trails at Hagg Lake during our fall scavenger hunt.

Follow clues each Saturday (posted on Instagram and Facebook) and search the trails around the lake for
unique ceramic birds, each a beautiful piece of art created by local artist Gwyneth Manley.
For our final Saturday, we have special wooden ornaments designed and donated by local maker, Pam Lewis.

Before you begin your adventure, please review the information below.

THE DETAILS

Who can participate?
Open to all park visitors! Perfect for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a good hunt.
Parks staff, including former Parks staff, and anyone involved in coordinating this program are not eligible.

When are clues released?
Five (5) clues are released during the first three Saturdays — November 7, 14 and 21 for a total of 15 ceramic birds.
On the final Saturday, November 28, one clue will guide seekers to
20 woodland creature ornaments throughout the park.

Where are the ornaments hidden?
Treasures are hidden in safe, accessible places — you won’t need to climb, dig, or disturb the environment.
If it looks unsafe, it isn’t part of the hunt.

Please respect nature and the Park. While searching, stay on trails, be mindful of wildlife,
and avoid disturbing plants or natural features.

Finders Keepers
Find a treasure and it is yours to keep! Help us share the joy by collecting only one ornament per household.

What if I find more than one ornament?
Way to go, you're the GOAT at scavenger hunts! You are welcome and encouraged to follow all the clues,
but please only take ONE ornament home. This way, we can spread the joy across our community and give visitors
a chance to find their own little treasure.
